Extra components for labs
In addition to the MSP430 launchpad and display module, we will need a few common prototyping components.
The simplest way to obtain these components is to buy a kit of parts like this one, which is discussed on the Labs page. This kit contains everything we need and more, for a fairly low cost.
If you are unable to purchase this kit, perhaps because it is not available in your region, we recommend that you find a similar kit that contains the components listed below. If you need to do this, please let us know before you order and we can help make sure the kit has what we need.
If you already have an ECE/RBE kit, you may wish to check to see if you have components similar to those listed and order anything you may be missing. Depending on what you need, ordering the kit linked above may actually be cheaper than buying individual components, so you may just want to order the kit anyway.
List of components
Some example links are provided for each component, but these are only examples, you don’t need to order exactly these! Depending on your region or preferences, you may find cheaper or better examples. Before you order anything, feel free to check with us to help determine if the parts you select will be suitable.
